After your payment is verified, it takes up to 1 – 3 weeks to process and ship your order. This does not include weekends or holidays. This all depends on the item ordered.
-
Please note that your order might be charged import duties and taxes upon arrival in your country. These fees usually amount to around 20% of the merchandise value. Keep in mind, this is an approximate estimate and the actual amount could differ depending on your country’s regulations. It’s best to get in touch with your local customs office for specific details about these charges.
Kophire isn’t in control of, nor liable for, any duties or taxes imposed on your package. Any additional charges for customs clearance will be your responsibility. Customs rules vary greatly between countries, so we recommend contacting your local customs office for more information. Sometimes, customs agents might cause delays in delivering packages, although this is rare.

Currently, I mainly use acrylic and polyester yarn for my crochet products. I use cushion/toy stuffing for my plushies or plush related items. My safety eyes are made from hard plastic. I may also use felt in my creations..
-
Please note that safety eyes are not suitable for children under 3 without supervision as they can be ripped out and be a choking hazard. If you are buying a plushie, please leave a note to make it baby safe. I will either use felt or embroider the eyes.

-
I do not accept returns. If you have any issues with an order please contact me at support@kophire.com or send a message on the contact page.

Care Instructions
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
-
- Fill a sink or basin with cool water and add a small amount of gentle soap or a mild detergent. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals that can damage the yarn or stuffing.
- Immerse the crochet plushie in the water and gently swirl it around. Be careful not to agitate the water too much, as this can cause the yarn to tangle or knot.
- Allow the plushie to soak for 10-15 minutes to loosen any dirt or stains.
- Gently squeeze out the excess water by pressing the plushie against the side of the sink or basin. Do not wring or twist the plushie, as this can damage the yarn and stuffing.
- Rinse the plushie thoroughly with cool water until no soap residue remains. Again, be gentle and avoid agitating the water too much.
-
- Fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water and add a small amount of mild detergent or soap specifically designed for delicate fabrics or woolens.
- Submerge the crochet tapestry in the water and gently swish it around to ensure the detergent is evenly distributed.
- Allow the tapestry to soak for 10-15 minutes to loosen any dirt or stains.
- Gently squeeze the tapestry to release excess water. Avoid wringing or twisting the piece to prevent stretching or distortion of the yarn.
-
While hand washing is recommended, you can wash your crochet items in the washing machine:
-
Check for Embellishments and Detailed parts: Some crochet items may not be suitable for machine washing, especially if they contain delicate yarns or embellishments.
-
Use a Mesh Laundry Bag: Place the crochet item inside a mesh laundry bag or a pillowcase to protect it during the washing cycle. This helps prevent tangling, snagging, or stretching of the yarn.
-
Select a Gentle Cycle and Cold Water: Set the washing machine to a gentle or delicate cycle with cold water. Avoid hot water, as it can cause the yarn to shrink or lose its shape.
-
Use a Mild Detergent: Add a small amount of gentle detergent suitable for delicate fabrics to the washing machine. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals that can damage the fibers.
-
Avoid Overloading the Machine: Wash the crochet item along with similar-colored, soft items to minimize agitation. Overloading the machine can cause excessive friction and damage the crochet piece.
-
Prevent Aggressive Spinning: Select a low or delicate spin setting to minimize the stress on the crochet item. High-speed spinning can stretch or distort the fibers.
-
Monitor the Washing Process: Stay nearby to observe the washing cycle. If possible, pause the cycle before the spin cycle begins to prevent excessive spinning. Some machines have options to skip or modify the spin cycle.
-
Remove and Reshape: After the washing cycle is complete, promptly remove the crochet item from the machine. Gently reshape the item to its original dimensions while it’s damp. Lay it flat on a towel to absorb excess water.
-
DRYING INSTRUCTIONS
-
- After washing, lay the plushie on a towel and gently press out any remaining water. Avoid squeezing or wringing the plushie, as this can cause the stuffing to become lumpy or misshapen.
- Roll the plushie up in the towel and gently press down to absorb more moisture. Repeat with a dry towel if necessary.
- Once most of the water has been removed, reshape the plushie by gently pulling and tugging on the yarn. Be careful not to stretch or pull too hard, as this can cause the plushie to lose its shape.
- Place the plushie on a clean, dry towel or a drying rack in a well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight, as this can cause the yarn to fade or weaken.
- Allow the plushie to air dry completely before handling or storing it.
-
- Lay a clean, dry towel on a flat surface and place the damp tapestry on it.
- Roll the towel with the tapestry inside to absorb excess moisture. Repeat with a second dry towel if needed.
- Reshape the tapestry while damp, gently stretching it back to its original size and shape if it has slightly stretched during washing.
- Lay the tapestry flat on a drying rack or another clean, dry towel in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Flip the tapestry occasionally to ensure even drying.
- Do not use an iron or apply direct heat (such as a dryer) on acrylic yarn, as it can cause melting or damage to the fibers. Air drying is the best method.
STORING INSTRUCTIONS
-
- Before storing the crochet plushie, make sure it is completely dry to prevent mold or mildew from forming.
- Store the plushie in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, and dust. A fabric storage bag or a sealed plastic container can help keep the plushie clean and protected.
- Avoid storing the plushie in a cramped or crowded space, as this can cause the yarn to become compressed or misshapen over time.
- Check on the plushie periodically to make sure it is still in good condition and to air it out if necessary.
-
- Store the crochet tapestry in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture buildup that could lead to mold or mildew.
- If storing flat, place acid-free tissue paper between folds to prevent creases. Rolling the tapestry around a clean tube or acid-free cardboard can also help maintain its shape.
- Avoid long-term hanging, as it can cause stretching or distortion of the piece.
OTHER CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Brushing:
- To remove dust or debris from the crochet plushie, use a soft-bristled brush or a lint roller.
- Gently brush or roll the surface of the plushie in one direction, being careful not to snag or pull on the yarn.
- Pay special attention to any areas with embroidery or small details, as these can trap dust and debris more easily.
- If the plushie has any stains or spills, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent before brushing or rolling.
Handle with Care:
- Always handle the crochet plushie gently and with care, especially if it has delicate details like embroidery or small buttons.
- Avoid pulling or tugging on any parts of the plushie, as this can cause the yarn to stretch or break.
- If the plushie has any loose threads or yarn ends, trim them carefully with scissors to avoid unraveling.
- Keep the plushie away from pets, as they may be tempted to chew or play with it, causing damage to the yarn or stuffing.
-
Spot Cleaning:
- For small stains or spots, use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with a mild detergent solution to gently blot the area. Avoid rubbing vigorously, as it can damage the yarn or the design.
Handle with Care:
- Always handle the crochet tapestry piece delicately, especially if it has intricate details or loose ends. Avoid pulling or tugging on the yarn to prevent unraveling or damage.
